Our customer required a single point of contact to provide the safe and secure transportation of 600 IT assets from the Old Granada Studios to a new state of the art facility in Manchester city centre.

Orion 247 worked alongside a trusted partner to put together a detailed project scope for the relocation. We provided a team of 12 engineers (level 2), led by a Project Manager to carry out the office move.
The 18 hour relocation project involved the secure transportation of 200 PC users’ equipment with 400 monitors on arms. Each piece of equipment was safely powered down, unplugged, wrapped in anti static bubble wrap and loaded on to PC crates.
Due to the equipment requiring transportation over several floor levels, corex and protective material were used on the floors in the lift. Once at ground level, the equipment was loaded on to two dedicated vehicles and taken to the new office facilities. It was unloaded and set up as per a detailed desk plan at the new offices.
Challenges were met and overcome, including the dismantling of the multiple monitor arms. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly and ensured that all of the IT equipment was relocated in a safe and timely manner.
